Scholarships

In recognition of their excellent work and their contribution to the music community, the New York Opera Project (NYOP) is happy to provide several partial scholarships to the Bel Canto Institute. These scholarships are available for the 2006 festival to be held in Florence, Italy, to applicants for both the Summer Program and Youth Division Summer Program. Awards

The New York Opera Project (NYOP) Award will be presented to a student or students attending the 2006 Bel Canto Institute Summer program and the Youth Division Summer Program. It will be based on musicianship, growth during the programs, and performance potential. The judges will represent both the Bel Canto Institute and the New York Opera Project. The recipients will be presented at a NYOP-sponsored recital in New York City, venue to be selected by NYOP, not more than nine months following the 2006 Bel Canto Institute Summer programs. The time and place will be announced.
